... unfortunately automatic substitution only happens when one of your original starters doesn't play.

Ouch! I just checked on last weekend's results... It seems like not having Ronaldo in my team is seriously killing me these past few weeks... But, I'll manage without him, I have my pride*!

yep. ranaldo not being present really has scuppered my chances. im going to take the gamble and reorganize my team and get the sulky talented bastard! i wish i hadnt used up that wildcard now!!!!!!! last portion of the season is gonna be all out attack from me!

My wildcard is still safely in my pocket, waiting for the end of January when the transfer window closes. Ronaldo still won't be in my team after that though, on principle.

It's not an admirable principle, I'm afraid - I hate Man U and Liverpool, and refuse to have any of their players in my team. I went against my principles for a while and had one player from each of those teams, but it made me very ill, so I got rid of them.

I once had a fantasy team which was picked on the basis that I refused to have any players who played for a team that wore a red kit. Surprisingly, it did quite well and I won the FA Cup in the competition that I was playing in.

it's probably better that way, as it's likely i'll have to add him to my team anyway. he's scored 120 points in his last 5 games for everyone who captained him during that period.

btw, doesn't anyone else think it's silly that he's listed as a midfielder in fantasy premier league? that means he gets points for clean sheets even though he's not defending and 5 instead of 4 points (like forwards) for every goal. of course i won't complain about that once he's in my team. :rolleyes:
