Thank you, dear.
The only way that seems reasonable nowadays is the thought of travelling again. Which I don't have money for, so it's all just daydreaming.

It's part of a series of things I'm working on, the actual things are HUUUUUUUUGE and way more detailed. Basically digital pics of the tv screen edited and made in 2 colors (BW, usually) which melt my mind seen BIG as they should. I want to have them printed with a plotter as big as possible (fishfinger helped me with a test, but I can't find the resulting pics :( ), the whole point is that seen from a distance they make sense, seen close up they disturb the brain, in a way. The smaller ones I posted just give the idea of the actual effect. Don't take me too seriously, btw.
p.s. looks like noone has DADDUAH Lps stored anymore :(.

SYRFox 03.02.2009 06:10 PM

that was a nice pic nicfit

SYRFox 03.02.2009 06:12 PM

just listened the new prodigy album
not as bad as I thought it would be, but it still ain't great... too many tracks drag it down, and a lot of things sound too much like a nostalgic 90's trip in my opinion. the second part of the album especially is really weak.
there's one really good track though: thunder

SYRFox 03.04.2009 04:37 AM

have a nice day everyone :)
i saw mr joseph arthur live yesterday (it was kind of unexpected, but my uncle bought me a ticket as a present), and it was really a good show - though the sound at L'Aéronef really could be improved (the bass almost couldn't be heard for a good part of the show...)

cars_willkillyou 03.04.2009 08:22 AM

i dont have a problem with getting beaten, as long as i beat someone as well. As long as I am conscious, I will inflict more pain onto the person who is inflicting pain upon me.

Tonight's musical obsession:
Esbjörn Svensson Trio - Ajar
a minute and a half of beautiful, quiet piano. magnificent

_slavo_ 03.06.2009 03:11 AM

I think I just discovered the world of Swans music. Never have had actually given them a try in the past but the "White light from the mouth of infinity" album is really pleasing to my ears.

I agree with the thumbs up for Swans and Harry Pussy - both excellent outfits.

And a good afternoon to you all :)

No, I didn't. He definitely is the man, in that case. Word!

did you mean a sick friend is doing better, or did you mean an enemy just caught something nasty?

SYRFox 03.06.2009 06:25 PM

I've been so lunatic today
A little sooner in the day I was crying for no reason in the street
Now I am superhappy cause HEALTH and Pivot will be playing in Lille in April
Hmm

SYRFox 03.15.2009 02:11 PM

Here's a text I just wrote; it's a bit long but well... I hope you'll enjoy it

Quote:

I was on a car, alone
They were back
I am reading something about deafening darkness, which is interesting, so I try and remember the page
Fourteen
Will I remember it forever just because I thought about it ? Will it disappear ? Will it vanish?
[stop pointing the blinking strobes at me]
The car goes on, so does thoughts:
A disordered flow or flood of ideas crossing my mind at every second
"Short stories now!"
"Is this the point where city ends?"
"City landscapes melting"
I would like to have my notebook but I'm trapped in the streets
"What has it to do with 'black&white' pictures?"
"Is this really... ?"
Two young people, probably like ten or so, are walking on the grass, getting to some rust ancient industrial shapes in the distance, which reminds me there was someone walking right below my window - though on the opposite sidewalk - earlier today, around 11am possibly.
"Black, grey, blue"
"The head one's the closest", I remember subconsciously.
The train does not stop.
The camera does not fall.
The window does not close.
"Why should they be amiable?"
Is this the point where city ends?

Is this the point where city ends?
Rust iron melting with grass,
Grey fog melting with the blue skues
Everything fading into one sheer thing.

Should I stop? How am I supposed to know? It turns out I can't look above.
In my ears, I reckognize those chimes from years ago, a dissonant symphony, a few notes that might have eventually lead to a widely spread masterpiece in the past future
I like the point where the atmosphere of the piece fades out; I try to understand what people that used to be in the room could think at the time.
Is this the place where city ends?

Now half an hour later, I'm listening to a recording from the early eighties; no one knows who it comes from, no name is linked to it; it lasts for two minutes and fifty seven seconds only.
Exchanging immaterial flux, abstract electronic signals about abstracter mental signals, I think back to the bluish stain that was visible in the fading sky yesterday, around 19 o'clock. Was it the sight of a distant beam? A reflection of light at sunset?
Will it vanish?

SYRFox 03.16.2009 04:00 PM

I did a track with that text. Electronic drones, looped piano, spoken word vocals:
