What about my question doood? Do I need to read up on the Middle Ages history in order to get this movie? Cuz I wanna watch, but I don't want to read. |

None at all, I'd say. Or at least all you need to know is explained in the film itself. |

Cool. Thanks. |
It's not on netflix, sadly. I fully admit to being a fan of a number of "so bad they're good" movies and accept the consequences.

Not really. You'd want something weirder, more experimental. The Wicker Man overlaps on certain themes, but it's a particular kind of indefinable oddness that really connects them more than what they're about. You'll get what I mean when you eventually see it. |

The one with Yahoo Serious????? |

Haha! May well turn this year's Halloween viewing into a tribute to the great man. |

I see it's not on Netflix. And that's a bummer because I was ready to watch. I'm easily amused too. I watch terrible shit like The Flash and Gotham. Hate 90% of it. Watch anyway because comic stuff never stops amusing me. :D |
i read the ebert review of that movie and laughed at the absurd premise
im guessing he's like the australian paulie shore |

Yeah, but Paulie had kind of a run there for a while. Several — err... a few? — big movies. Where else have you seen Yahoo Serious? Does anyone remember the Simpsons episode from way, way back when Lisa saw "Young Einstein - Yahoo Serious" on a marquee outside a theater and said something like: "I'm know all of those words but this makes no sense at all to me!" Bahahaha. She's affronted because she's a smarty, of course. And we're reminded of whatshisname. Fucking google it. The way she says it is funny. I can't replicate it. Goddamn you Rob. |

Yahoo did a total of 3 movies.
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000635/?ref_=fn_al_nm_1 That's either 3 too many or just enough to duck out before becoming a cultural mess, depending on who you ask. |
when he is rolling up to the bad guys compound in that rickety motorbike and he stops to "sneak" closer and you see that he is about ten feet away from the front gates? I laughed hard......
I saw Young Einstein in the theaters. |
HOLY SHIT DUNKIRK IS OUT??? What the fuck? I thought that wasn't coming out until fucking November!!!
 ![]() MUST GO SEE AYE-ESS-AYE-PEE!!! |
Dunkirk's ROTTEN TOMATOES score: 96%
Some pull quotes from professional reviewers: "The race for Best Picture is officially on." "... Basically a silent film. Tom Hardy has 10 lines & is excellent. Harry Styles can ACT, people." "It's one of the best war films ever made, distinct in its look, in its approach and in the effect it has on viewers." "You disappear inside of it and it changes you, as all great movies do." "It deserves to be seen and argued about. They don't make them like this anymore. Never did, really." |
Dunkirk seems to be getting mixed reactions, but that intrigues me more. I was interested in the movie but I don't know if I'd say it was a movie I was anticipating. No particular reason why. Now I'm curious how I'll respond to the movie. I never saw Interstellar either, but post Dark Knight films seems to be following a film career more inspired by Kubrick, and similarly making films that some really love, and others feeling cold on.
|
DARK KNIGHT has a 94% on Rotten Tomatoes. So...
(Just teasing) btw, has anyone seen GET OUT? I've been wanting to talk about it, but it's pointless unless others have seen it. |
have not seen it yet.
