The last Troma film I liked was Citizen Toxie or Terror Firmer. Whichever came out last?
|
Citizen Toxie came out last yeah.
|
...nose blood.
|
Yknow, now that I think of it, I havent seen a "new" Troma movie since that one, then. Those were the last two recent ones I had seen, and I liked them both a lot and then ignored any other new Troma flicks.
I'm a pretty big Troma fan. Love the obvious Toxie and Nuke Em films (except part 3... shudder). SGT K-Man is great. Tromeo & Juliet is incredible. Teenage Cat Girls In Heat is hilarious. Even the earlier cheapo skin flicks like Sizzle Beach are entertaining. And a good deal of their pickups are awesome like Blood Sucking Freaks (one of my all time fav "horror" films). But I will say this. I dnt understand what's to like about Fat Guy Goes Nutso. A lot of Troma fans rave about that one. I hated it. Hated it. Oh my God, did I hate it. |
Haha. I need to check out Fat Guy Goes Nutso. I'm sure it's nothing like the incredible Fatty Drives the Bus.
I love Troma films, mainly the pickups... |
Happiness is fucking HORRIBLE
HORRUIBLE stupid pointless aimless masochistic movie. |
![]() After about an hour of the main character running the same scam over and over I got bored and turned it off. |
![]() When Wong saved Strange's life after he jumped off a bridge I said, "y'know Wong shouldn't show up in NYC to give Strange a ticket to Tibet" - and then Wong handed Strange a map to Tibet - I sighed and turned it off. Bad weekend for movies. |
Quantum of Solace. Not as good as Casino Royale but lightyears ahead of anything before CR.
Major downfall--too much action and not enough plot. There needed to be more exposition between the action scenes, which also went on a bit long. There also wasn't a very memorable score, I didn't think. But it had good points. Craig is a great bond, and the globe-hopping was fun. The use of a couple of female spies was a nice touch. And I really enjoy how the friction between M and Bond has become a strong subplot as Bond matures as a spy and tests the bounds of what his boss will let him get away with, etc. Overall, a 4 out of 5 stars, for me. |
Oh yeah, re-watched Mysterious Skin. 9/10.
|
Dennis The Menace, for oldtime sake

Joseph Gordon-Levitt is so amazing in that movie |

And teeth is not really very good, its hilarious, but I wouldn't reccomend it to someone looking for a good movie. |

define "good" :D |
see, I think TEETH was amazing.
viewtiful, it's funny. You and I are sooooooooo similar in musical taste. But we often disagree on films. Which is fine, of course. I'm glad I have you to discuss music on here! |
Nowhere
|
Nowhere is amazing. My favorite ending of all time!
|
Been on a giuseppe andrews kick...
who flung poo: 8/10 airplane pillows: 9/10 cat piss: 7/10 everlasting pine: 8/10 Maybe the best underground filmmaker around today. You'll be hearing a lot about him soon. |
hell to the yeah for Nowhere. I love that 90s LA teen scene sooo much. reminds me of ariel pink.
watched the proposition for the 2nd time... love love it. 9/10 ![]() |
Nowhere was tolerable, but I decided against keeping it around.
|
Any movie with slowdive on the soundtrack is a keeper in my book.

As for me: Plan 9 from outerspace for the umpteenth time Criswell's opening monologue in that movie is one of the great moments in american film. |
PLAN 9 is awesome. haha.
|
I've seen three Ed Wood movies! and plan 9 from the outer space was the best. also Tim Burton has directed a good movie about him.
|
Yeah the tim burton biopic is one of my favorite movies.
Haha I've seen all of his garbage, and I have to say glen or glenda is probably the worst. Let's all keep this little wisdom nugget in mind as we go about our lives: "we are all interested in the future, for that is where we are going to spend the rest of our lives" |
the Tim Burton film is amazing. I love it.
Ever see Orgy Of The Dead? Wood didn't get to direct it, but... |
Shrooms.
The only good thing: nice cleavage shots when the protagonist falls. |
Quantum of Solace. I loved it. Very intense.

by Ed Wood? |

Looked pretty bad. |
Shrooms sucked.
Orgy of the Dead is the worst film I've ever seen, but I absolutely love it. My favorite Ed Wood film is Glen or Glenda. |
I could use some nice modern old-style "horrors" like Slither
|
I just watched 'mirrors', missed the very end, but looks real good. Has one of the harshest deaths I've ever seen and with jack bauer starring in it, it has some jaw dropping moments.
|
golden embers: 8/10
orzo: 8/10 holiday weekend: 7/10 garbanzo gas: 9/10 schoof: 7/10 Giuseppe Andrews is amazing! http://www.giuseppeandrews.net/ |

Mogari no mori - The Mourning Forest
Struggled abit with this, but glad i watched til the end, it's worth watching for the cinematography alone.I guess the more open minded you are the more you'll get from this film. |
