she was wearing these wild clothes in holland long before it was the cool thing to do here in america and #1 it appeals to me visually because it suits her so goddamn well and it's just a feast of crazy shit for my eyes (she looks much better in her street clothes than on the runway) and #2 it pisses me off that everyone else particularly like in brooklyn and lower manhattan (aka the real tryhards) has taken to wearing such clothes.

everywhere else you go particularly london or tokyo, they have a sense of fun the way they dress. in america most people take it too seriously or they're too pragmatic about it. people dress to be chic or they dress to be comfortable blah blah blah
