Don’t give me that “emo” shit. Finally Star Wars has some layered, complex characters who do things like — I dunno ... think and feel — and all these old school nerf herders have their grapes in a vice over what is withot question an evolution in the storytelling of the series.

Ugh. I was a Star Wars kid. If anyone should be pissed off it’s me, but fuck... I’ll take an engrossing character over cookie cutter one-line cowboy types any goddamn day.

I thought he was ugly at first... then I thought of Humphrey Bogart. Actors don’t have to look like Jared Leto... who looks like shit.

Also, I saw him on GIRLS, and he’s pretty on the inside — even when everyone around him is ugly on the everyside (ok, except for the weird sex choking and semi-abusive relationship crap). :)

I don't see how anyone who describes themselves as a star wars kid can see the Kathleen Kennedy era films as anything other than a travesty. The damage is already done but at least she's been dropped from IX, hopefully into the nearest Sarlacc pit.

Peak Trek > Wars anyway.
At its best (which, admittedly, it *rarely* is), the Star Trek franchise is more interesting than Wars by quite a bit in my book.

But the new Star Wars movies are the best Star Wars movies. Episode VII and VIII, that is. Haven’t seen Solo. Rogue One was meh.
