2) glad ya agreed.

3)"its better to provoke a reaction, than to react to a provocation".

4) there should be MUCH more oversight. i know ill get shit for this, but i think if welfare was limited to OLD/disabled people + single women (and men) raising several children on a minimal income...and the latter for a LIMITED TIME ONLY (im a firm believer that if youve had TOO MANY kids, knowing ya cant support them on yr own...you deserve to have none) that we'd see alot more people learning really fast how to fend for themselves. its not my fault too many women dont know how to tell their partners to strap on a rubber, and that too many men dont know how to pull out. i understand shit happens...but when it happens 3-4-5-6-7-8 + times, its a serius issue. the more children they have, the more money they get.

its quite fucked up...

You're quite fucked up, especially since you obviously don't understand that this affects everyone. So, yeah, women who have 15 kids by 20 different fathers are irresponsible and don't deserve help, but guess what? Those kids are people too and they don't choose who their parents are. THEY are the ones you try to help by giving this woman welfare, not her. They deserve a chance in life just like you got, and if they don't get one, well we see where it goes. They knock up some whore who already has 10 kids, run off, steal shit, join a gang, have no prospects from the day they were born til the day they die.

And I think you really missed the point on #2 :p. I wasn't agreeing with you, I was saying your point was fucking retarded. Which is a pattern with you, isn't it?

My mom used to work at a food store. She said 90% of the people who paid with food stamps bought shit like Ben & Jerry's ice cream all the time. Why not buy the generic brand? Or how about something healthier? I guess if you get money for doing nothing, why not?

No one is saying poor people shouldn't be helped out. I just don't want to work, so others can do nothing and eat Ben & Jerry's, sit in the air conditioning and watch Jerry Springer all day. (I know that's not everyone, but even if there's one, that's not right.) My family didn't turn the AC on once this summer even though it hit 100 sometimes. Why? Because we would rather save our money. Poor people in other countries live in shacks and dig through garbage for food. They're the ones who I'd like to give my money too.

So if people on welfare can get Ben & Jerry's ice cream (a pint for $5.99), then I think we're giving them enough, if not too much. For $5.99, you can get 10 Ramen noodles, 10 cans of corn, a box of cereal, a loaf of bread, and some fresh fruit. That's what I bought yesterday!

And as for health care, I've gotten one prescription in my entire life. When I have a sore throat, allergies, trouble sleeping, or a sprained ankle... I deal with it. How do you think people survived before licensed doctors? I'm not saying people with cancer shouldn't be helped out. I'm saying enough with medicine to get you through an average day.

davenotdead 08.25.2009 10:57 PM

amen, and people actually go to the doctor when they get a sore throat? shiiit/

i've never been to a general practitioner.

Satan 08.25.2009 10:58 PM

no, just go to a chiropractor. a good one will actually fix the problem, so you don't have to keep buying drugs which just numb yr brain/pain receptors into thinking the problem's fixed.

Mostly pseudoscientific bullshit.

Treatment

When the cause of sciatic is due to a prolapsed or lumbar disc herniation 90% of disc prolapses will resolve with no specific intervention. Treatment of the underlying cause of the compression is needed in cases of epidural abscess, epidural tumors, and cauda equina syndrome.
Many cases of sciatica are treated with different modalities. Evidence of effectiveness for these measures are however limited.[8] Some of these measures include:
Anti-inflammatory medications (e.g. NSAIDs or oral steroids though NSAIDs are no more effective than a placebo for acute sciatica. [9]
Acetaminophen: limited evidence
Narcotics: often used if severe pain
Physical therapy / Stretching exercises: no evidence of improving pain or function
Epidural steroid injects: no long term improvements in outcomes but some short term benefits
Non-surgical spinal decompression
Massage Therapy: little support
Chiropractic: no benefit has been found over concerative treatment

pbradley 08.25.2009 11:19 PM

in before big pharma conspiracy

source and/or who do you think wrote that?

floatingslowly 08.25.2009 11:30 PM

dude, if you think chiropractory can fix herniated discs, yr very mistaken. it'll make 'em worse. and unless surgery can fix them (and sometimes it can't), yr stuck with pills to keep yrself from taking a gun and shooting yrself in the head. unless, of course, you enjoy never-ending chronic pain.

Satan 08.25.2009 11:30 PM

wiki and/or do i give a fuck? ive tried absolutely everything. several chiropractors, acupuncture, you name it. all paid for OUT OF POCKET. popping heavy duty painkillers all day is absolutely the only thing that helps.

i dont have a herniated disc my spine is just fucked up and crushing a nerve

davenotdead 08.25.2009 11:33 PM

ok i read the wikipedia page where you got that from.

a quick google search told me that chiropractors can, in fact, fix sciatica. which makes sense since its a spinal condition. which is what chiropractic is all about.

this is the first guy i found, and he does it.
