I made plans to pick up a chair from my friend's house that she was donating to my new house. My new living room only had one chair so I waited all day for it to stop raining and finally at 1:00 showed up to get it. Turns out it had been in this chick's back yard all day and was soaked. Now I'm sitting in the one dry chair in the living room with my laptop, across from the new wet one, which has two fans and five lamps directed at it, the only source of light in the room. I feel like I should be interrogating this chair.

Going to get a haircut this morning, then on to Tesco to do the weekly shop. Need to decide whether to do slightly more than a week, actually, as we'll be hemmed in by the Olympic cycling road races all next weekend and the only supermarket we'll be able to get to is Waitrose.

Morning! I have to go to work again :( and I already have had a bad start to the day. I just smashed a pint of milk on my kitchen floor and had to clean up the glass/milk... I want to go back to bed now.

Did you get some extra shopping or not? Are you going to treat yourselves to some Waitrose loveliness? We've been on tenterhooks.

Tesco's is in my good books at the moment, with its large Pizza Express pizzas at 2.75 a go. They were doing the small ones last week at £2, which was tempting, but large at 2.75 is a steal. Otherwise, as Pookie says, visit Waitrose and live the dream.

I couldn't cope with the added stress that would have come with planning menus and shopping lists all the way through to next weekend, so I only shopped for seven days. Waitrose it will be next weekend. Although we do have food in the freezer, so we're unlikely to starve if I don't go shopping at all.

Didn't notice the Pizza Express offer in Tesco - did get two bottles of Plax mouthwash on a 2-for-1 though.
