I trust remembering this less, because of strong bourbon, but Bride of Re-Animator

I watched Dante's Peak yesterday
Cringy yet pretty good, if you have a knack for catastrophic movies, which I do.

Ah, I get it, Lucio Fulci zombies!

I thought I would be able to have a good laugh at this movie but I couldn’t even make it through it and I really like bad movies. This is a really bad bad movie but definitely gets points for weirdness I guess

I don't watch new movies much but then last week Bill and Ted 3, which I had been waiting for for 8 years came out last weekend, and a new Charlie Kaufman movie came out Friday.
Where my Kaufman obsessives at?

Rob Instigator 09.09.2020 09:23 AM

I enjoyed Bill & Ted 3. had good laughs.

Finally got around to watching it. Wanted to watch it when it was still in theaters back in February, but was too much of a homebody at that time. Then Covid put the world in limbo. Finally though fuck it, google shall have my 4.99.

Great decision. Maybe it's due to me being starved for good movies (mostly been watching TNG and DS9, it's been months since my last movie), but that was an absolutely exhilerating watch. Witty and clever writing, dynamic performances, great set design and cinematography, very fine acting all around (Though Daniel Craig as a southerner took some getting used to. A good perfomance, but the accent took me out of it just a tiny bit) and some biting social satire.

Rip Steakface!

tw2113 09.20.2020 07:15 PM

Rudy, which I'm now picturing as just the full length training montage for Samwise Gamgee helping Frodo Baggins get to Mt. Doom.

I really dig Days of Heaven

Very few movies are able to soothe and unnerve you at the same time quite like this

Cienmatography is just breathtaking. I often feel the need to shower after watching this. Like Cries and Whispers or something lol
