morning fox, how are you? going to any good gigs in the near future?

I'm fine, though ultra tired. I have my mock exams next week, that will be a 4-hour history dissertation plus 4-hour english dissertation on monday, 4-hour french dissertation on tuesday, 4-hour maths exam on wednesday, 4-hour philosophy dissertation on thursday, 4-hour economical/social sciences dissertation on friday. Needless to say it's going to be a tiring week :/ but at least I'll be on holidays after that.

No real good gigs planned in the very near future, Lille venues usually don't plan a lot of things around Christmas. I just learned Cercueil was playing tonight and it is free, so I might go. After this, the next gigs are in January: I'll go and see Panda Bear in Bruxelles, then I'll probably see Sunn O))), etc.

no confirmed plans for any live shows until next year now and that's the Pavement ATP in May. i've paid for a 4 berth selfcatering again and now i need some people to come with me so i can get some money back. i'm skint. hopefully i'll go to a few things before that though.

fuck, it's really awesome. it's not really a proof of modesty to say that about a project that I've taken part in as well, but I'm halfway through and so far majority of tracks have been truly fantastic.

i'm going to listen to it this week. haven't had the time to get into it this week because of my mock exams...

damn, prefuse 73's one word extinguisher is so perfect. i love love love this album. so many perfect tracks. just pure awesomeness. I've been really into this album for the last month or so

i was actually thinking of visiting Prague for the New Year's Eve too since I have friends there, but i reconsidered. i'm in the East of Slovakia now (not in Bratislava, which is in the south-western corner of the country) and Prague's a bit too far from here.

@al shabbray: not really sure about good record stores in Prague, I can't remember I ever bought records there. but as for things you should not miss - the Zizkov TV Tower offers a great view on the city. You can't miss it, it's massive.

damn i feel so awesome today. i've been working nonstop for the last few days (4 hours of school, 4 hours of dissertation, 6 hours of homework on Monday ; 4 hours of school and 10 hours of homework on Tuesday ; 9 hours at school yesterday and then 5 hours of non stop homeworking), it even gave me nightmares, but at least the atrocious week has ended now - or at least got quiet.
Today was awesome though. Autechre announced they are going to play in Lille in March, and I'll see them in Brussels in April too. New album also excites me to the fucking max. Also, I've learned that I am the best student for the first semester with a mean of 12.4 out of 20 , and the best for the mock exam with 11.1/20. And I've got my new Broadcast CDs. AWESOME.

i was in brussels this week end where i met benjamin (aka THEFOXBEN). we saw that panda bear + deakin gig and it was really great. panda played 70 minutes worth of new tracks, and they're fantastic, less sample-based than person pitch (he plays guitar on most of the tracks), with simple rhythms. he began with a very simple track with only synth notes and hypnotic chanting, the basses were so heavy that my clothes were shaking.
(then ben outrocked me in rock band - i'd never played that game before though)

Yeah, dude, it was a fucking great week-end, the Panda Bear show was over-awesome, his new album's gonna be THE shit. Maybe the best record of 2010 if it comes out this year. And I might add he has got fucked up trippy visuals, I was looking at them most of the time.

Can't wait to see you again for Autechre and 65 Days of Static/Mount Eerie in April man.
