Victor Salva, confessed in 1988 to five felony counts related to having sex with a boy he directed in a low-budget film.

The molestation victim, Nathan Winters, now 20, has decided to go public with his ordeal.

Salva confessed to having oral sex with 12 year old Nathan Winters in 1987 while directing the then sixth-grader in "Clownhouse," a film about three boys terrorized by circus clowns.

Salva was sentenced to three years in state prison, serving 15 months and completing parole in 1992, according to the state Corrections Department and court records in Contra Costa County. He is a registered sex offender in Los Angeles County, according to state records.

Laws in 46 states, including California, treat sex offenders differently than other convicted criminals in that sex offenders, once released from prison, are required to register with authorities in communities where they take up residence. This is because pedophiles are driven by a psychological compulsion that has typically not been cured by therapy, according to criminologists and prosecutors.

When police raided Salva's house, they found two homemade pornographic tapes, one showing Salva having oral sex with Winters.

In April 1988, Salva pleaded guilty to one count of lewd and lascivious conduct, one count of oral copulation with a person under 12 and three counts of procuring a child for pornography. At his sentencing hearing, a prosecutor said Salva appeared to seek jobs where he could work with children. Salva has written children's books and in 1985 worked at the Crawford Village Child Care Center in Concord.

No. Pretty much any film that Victor DeSalvo made grosses me out.

atsonicpark 01.15.2009 03:30 PM

I'm guessing you're not a Polanski fan either then?

Torn Curtain 01.15.2009 04:02 PM

Young@Heart (French title "I feel good")

Very good.

noisereductions 01.15.2009 04:05 PM

Actually I've only seen a handful of Polanski films. And I've liked them.

DeSalvo is different to me. Put it this way, I had seen about 4 of his films (including Clown House) BEFORE I even knew his background, and I felt something was really wrong and gross.

that movie, Living in oblivion, was like a semi-good idea, with a ridiculous attmept to expand it, and it just plain bored the shit out of me,

Has anyone seen the movie STUCK?

I atched trailer and keep hearing good things about it before its UK release. Anyone in the US that's seen it and has any thoughts?

MellySingsDoom 01.16.2009 06:37 PM

I saw Roger Corman's "The Trip" again earlier on - it has it's amusing moments, but it's really not a particularly great film , all in all. I was amused by the way Corman padded out the film at the end (lots of "flashbacks") - always handy to pad out the running time.

demonrail666 01.16.2009 08:28 PM

I know what you mean about The Trip, and yet I always enjoy watching it. It's one of those film's that probably works best when you aren't paying too much attention to it, just letting it drift along. That way I can enjoy classic scenes like the one where Peter Fonda wanders into the house and just starts chatting with the little girl and take the opportunity to make a cuppa during some of its more plodding bits.

Have you seen Psych Out? It's the one where Jack Nicholson plays a kind of hippy Rock star. It holds together far better as a 'story', although I tend to think The Trip is the more memorable film overall.

LifeDistortion 01.17.2009 03:22 AM

NOES 3 DW was the first Freddy movie I saw, and its like the only one of the movies that has any real nudity in it. Seeing that at like 11 years old was paradise, too bad they had to ruin it with a Freddy moment.

Last night, when both notorious and my bloody valentine were sold out...:

2/10 Complete shit, but I guess kind of fun as b-movie shit, but the budget wasn't low enough, and I wasn't stoned enough. Typical pg-13 horror movie shit.

Today:

not sure how to rate it... good/fun though. I can't rate it fairly because the sound on my copy blew.

8/10 Quite fantastic

The Adventures Of Buckaroo Banzai Across The 8th Dimension - 6/10

Alex's Trip 01.18.2009 03:04 AM

Where do you get all your movies from? I am always intrigued by the stuff you watch but don't know where to begin finding it.

atsonicpark 01.18.2009 08:17 AM

I dunno. People ask me that about music too. I just have a kind of... feeling. I'll blindly buy some music or a movie and love it. I can't explain it.

The more obvious answer is netflix and some stray reccomendations here or there. But usually I just randomly stumble upon shit.

Derek 01.18.2009 09:33 AM

requiem for a dream - 0/10... horrible movie
sonatine - 8/10... good movie!
