SYRFox 04.21.2010 05:39 AM

Yes! But Lefto (who's also gonna play as far as I can tell) said on Débruit's twitter that some great artists were gonna play after and before him, so we can hope for some great glitch hop as well.

shabbray2.0 04.21.2010 11:30 AM

I want that lineup too!!!!
but I think the MELT! festival in germany is going to be awesome, too. last year Ive missed aphex twin (live, no DJ set).

btw where is nefeli???
havent seen the board queen here lately

SYRFox 04.21.2010 03:08 PM

Wow, the Melt line up looks awesome indeed (just went on their website). Would've gone if it wasn't at the same time as Dour ... too bad. For some reason I wanna travel lately. Eh.

Also yeah, Nefeli hasn't been on here for a while I think... but then again I'm not on here as much as I used to be so I might not be really aware ?

shabbray2.0 04.21.2010 03:10 PM

yes, after missing the melt! last year I will definately go this year!!!!!

travelling is always good. sometimes I even enjoy the stpudest trips, as long as I am not doing them regularly :)

_slavo_ 04.21.2010 03:37 PM

speaking of travelling ... i'm off to korea and japan in 2 weeks :)

ahah yes. I haven't travelled a lot in my life unfortunately - that is an euphemism, as the farthest i've been was Brussels this year... So I'm trying to improve that little by little. I might go to Tilburg one of those days to meet one of our boardies, though that's still a draft of a plan ahah :D we'll see.

danke Kumpel :)

it's going to be a proper adventure, riding on Shikansen fast-trains and wandering around Akihabara during nighttime. I'll spend my entire savings there, but what the fuck, really. I live for today.
I can't wait!!!

nothing too important, actually. But I've had a 11,5/20 on a french litterature yesterday, and it makes me feel really good, I hadn't been able to get over 9,5/20 so far this year in french litterature dissertations, and I thought I had done my best before... So it's really great. (11,5/20 is actually a pretty good note in hypokhâgne... it was actually the second best note in my class).

And next week I'm gonna see four gigs, and the school work should - hopefully - calm down a bit (Monday/Tuesday is gonna be harsh though) : The Brian Jonestown Massacre ; The Hundred In The Hands ; Marvin + Edwood Jr ; Konono N°1

Good philosophy. Besides, aren't savings made for that kind of things initially... you definitely made the right choice ahah. Enjoy your trip

shabbray2.0 04.22.2010 03:56 PM

can I ask you how much you spend on that trip?
I can fully understand if you wont :)
but it reall yinterests me for the future

why not ... the airline ticket (Vienna->Seoul, Tokio->Vienna) cost me 770 EUR.
I'm planning to waste up to 2300-2500 EUR on accomodation/food/travelling throughout the 3 week trip. though i think it's gonna be much less, i still have the reserve.

thank you fox.
though i'll need the money (you know, unstable times, mortgage, new flat, maybe a kid in a year or two), but still ... i'm a free mind, i need fresh air. i need to see world.

thats exactly the way I would do it too.
kinda like double up the amount I need. so that nothing in the world could stop me from having a good time there, even if I wont need all the money.

(some people just dont talk about money, at least thats my experience, so I just wanted to make clear that I not mad at you if you wont tell :))

to be honest I thought it will be more expensive (flight and especially to "live" there for about 3 weeks.
but thanks anyway. gives me a good starting point.
ah will you stay for a longer time at some places or are you on the road every day?

_slavo_ 04.22.2010 04:16 PM

no no,
i am working on my itinerary. it's still in the process, especially South Korea where i'm not really sure what to see yet.

however in Japan i already know where to go and how long to stay there (Osaka 2 days, Kyoto another 2 days, Nara 1 day, Tokio 3 days, Hiroshima 1 day or maybe more)

i'll have my wings and explore the world like there's no tomorrow

shabbray2.0 04.22.2010 04:25 PM

sounds fantastic!!!!
will you go for yourself or are bringin some slavo-friend? maybe female? hahaha
ignore if it sounds creepy

_slavo_ 04.22.2010 04:37 PM

i still don't know man
worst case scenario i'll go by myself (but maybe it's the best case scenario)

shabbray2.0 04.22.2010 04:41 PM

sounds....difficult?!

_slavo_ 04.22.2010 04:47 PM

no no!
everything's allright
it's just not that easy to find friends keen enough to travel with me to japan/korea.
i'm working on it though.

shabbray2.0 04.22.2010 04:49 PM

aaaah ok.
I would be on it if I would have the money and be a friend of yours, hahaha (in real one on one life, hahaha)

i'm more than sure we'd get along.
too bad you don't have enough cash, man.

shabbray2.0 04.23.2010 07:30 AM

yes I think we would get along almost perfectly (if you can stand my insane collectism of videogames, especially the old/odd ones, which would eat up at least one day in tokyo, hahaha)
let me know when you find out where to go in south korea, I wouldnt have an idea right of the spot too!
and take pics (I am sure you will) and post them!!! (I am not so sure about this :))

Akihabara would be a perfect place to you, then. Many otaku geeks seem to roam that area on a daily basis.
I'mma bring you something from there? Any special wish?

chicka 04.23.2010 10:44 AM

One thing for certain you will not have a bad time traveling alone where as having a friend along male or female could go either way....

For real? would you really do that?
I am tryin gto hunt down this for ages:

Silver Case /Silver Jiken (jap. Name) for the Playstation 1

its almost impossible to get this outside japan (jap. release only)
If you can track down a good copy WITH Manual and original Box, I would love you till the end of my days for that!
(I think japan is the only place where you can still find this game, today. every import site even doesnt know what I am talking about )
Its by "Grasshopper Manufacture"

Price should be between 50$ - 100$ depends on the condition.
let me know if you would keep an eye open for this.

shabbray2.0 04.25.2010 08:01 AM

slavo bump ^^

_slavo_ 04.25.2010 01:22 PM

I will keep my eyes open for this item, yes.
but definitely PM me around June 10 with a reminder of this item, I'll be checking my mail from time to time even in Asia.

i dont have any super news. work is torture as usual and many times even worse, i started pilates instead of yoga, but i wont give up on yoga. i really liked it and it suits me. maybe after summer, its just too expensive to do both. i one day stopped drinking coca light and i have cut down..almost to 90% and to my suprise i dont miss it at all. i still am poor on my music spending time. i dont listen any more at work for example and all this dark period started last september. this makes me feel emptiness. i dont spend time online at home and its my fault, i have to get back on track, organise my time regarding this. however, i do play my records a lot which is always awesome feeling.recent purchase was finally getting the bardo pond/ buck paco split and i m listening the 6 hour fushitsusha but in breaks.
oh yeah..and dont ask me about the greek economy hell..there isnt much to say anyway. we pay the goverments asslicking via giving away money to public sector jobs for over 3 decades and bond spreads coming in to complete the gang rape. many other issues, that we all knew about and that from time to time i have mentioned here too. like corruption and banking evil stuff. sometimes i have a thought that all this might change a bit the way we see things in life, maybe will change our habits, anyway some vague ideas i have, since i m still on the safe side, still have my job and dont have any vital issues to deal with.

dude, just fuck the greek economy and move to london!

Phlegmscope 04.26.2010 08:47 AM

A friend of mine moved to london last year to work in a visual fx company, and a classmate of mine is moving there in near future. They make it sound easy, but I just keep reading how difficult and ridiculously expensive it is. But then again, I guess they have the motivation and talent.

thank you very much, nefeli.
definitely carry on with your yoga classes if possible ... it's too good to just leave it behind like that.

i'm finishing laying down flooring in my apartment these days! My dad has arrived from the other corner of our tiny republic to help me out and we were working on it almost all weekend. it's been tough, however the floor looks super cosy and even a bit exclusive and the good part is, it wasn't expensive at all. I'll post some pics when we're ready.
i'm about to move to the new apartment in 2 weeks !!!!!! :)

chicka 04.26.2010 10:10 AM

cool _slavo_ hope you started the floor in the most difficult area to make a cut so you don't have to. I laid down a Pergo floor once and started on the easiest wall and naturally at the very end I had to make a cut under a door lip plus the size wasn't a full board needlessly to say I broke many a board trying to fit it correctly.

The floor did look wicked when I finished. I do better with ceramic tile floors having done about a dozen of those suckers.
