this isn't spectacular photography but i was delighted to see this out the window a few minutes ago so i ran and snapped a picture...now it's gone and turned grey again

So today, unpacking more of my shit, I discover two (2) cannisters (100 ft) of 35mm Tri-X. Packages say to process before 6/94!

I don't think I any longer have my bulk roller. Is it worth picking one up to roll and use this film? I'd love to get back into using my old Nikon.

gmku 06.07.2009 09:17 AM

Anybody?

Satan 06.07.2009 09:22 AM

expired film is the best. use it.

gmku 06.07.2009 09:25 AM

Thanks. How much do bulk rollers go for these days? I'm on a budget. I have to buy clothes, ya know.

gmku 06.07.2009 09:32 AM

Couple of corny Christmas in the Rockies snapshots. I love the accident of the first one, the dogs walking through. These are of my daughter and her ski bum entourage, basically.

One more favorite.

the one on the far right's face is priceless.

red cups ahoy. alcohol and skiing is a great combination.

gmku 06.07.2009 09:42 AM

Ha ha, yeah, that dude is hilarious. He's got like this stoned demeanor where he talks extremely slow and all thoughtful, but he's very smart and funny.

Altitude makes the alcohol work better too. I was getting wasted on 4% wheat beer after just a couple of cups.

they're pretty cheap (i've only ever been given them) but i guess around $30. You can do it without a loader though, just take enough film from the roll to stretch from one arm to the other (in the dark!) and that's around 25 exposures, I think 5 foot is 35-40 exposures. Attach some tape to the end and wind it on to the canister (making sure the film is the right way around, matt side down i think).

done, alot easier with the loader though, less faffing around in the dark.

gmku 06.07.2009 10:49 AM

Yeh, I'll go with a loader. Damn, I wish I still had mine. I need new cannisters anyway.

btw anyone who's interested, they sell all kinds of expired film on lomography's online store. when i bought my holga they sent me like 8 rolls of expired film free.

Taken in Prague this morning. It was cloudy.

I'm going to have say...I believe this is at Arapahoe Basin. Ask her gmku.
