unlike Cross' other books on Kurt, this one is actually decent because it focuses on art and music, not Cross' own confused biographical interpretation of Kurt (which tends to overemphasize depression/suicide and finds it in every nook and cranny of Kurt's life which is not very accurate at all)
There are a lot of really cool Nirvana paraphanelia reproductions like fliers, stickers, hand bills, scribbled notes, photographs, etc etc. There are also a lot of really good pictures in there making it well worth the clearance section pricing I found it..

This has to be one of the greatest books I have ever read in my entire life. It is the most sublime mix of intellectualism, humor, history, theology, Holy Tradition, architecture, and is perhaps one of the best written books as well in regards to sophistication, coherence, depth, insight, and fluidity of multiple converging subjects.

Thoroughly agree on both books, although those are the only two I've read by him.

I just finished my first Haruki Murakami book (The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle) and I'm really eager on reading more by him.

You know you are really into a writer when you can't put his/her book down and are down to 2-3 hours of sleep each night as a result of it.

I just read the first 3 volumes of Biomega. These were actually the first manga I have ever read. I can't say that all the ones the "kids" are reading appeal to me, but Biomega is an awesome sci-fi horror story that has zombies, awesome art work, and a kick ass grizzly bear.....so, you can't really go wrong there.

Anybody know of any other good horror manga in this vein??
