well, not too long in my case, it was just a small cut, but the hot water made it bleed profusely. With a bit of attention the blood can clog pretty fast and close the cut etc etc.
Last time I had a cough I thought I was about to die, so much pain. No idea what it was, went away after a few days. I think.
