You're clearly right, but all this talk of 'creaky old carts' coming from Herr Symbols has obviously put me on the defensive.

Those Latino Bayern fans are a nightmare ;)

ha ha ha-- hilarious picture. he looks turkish to me though! anyway...

creaky cart: it was just a metaphor, and only in the context of the champions quarterfinals. everywhere else they're football gods.

i like barcelona a lot actually, especially over real madrid, same as juve, but in the end we develop strange loyalties and attachments and these guys are my saturday mornings.

i do have a scarf btw!

----

EDIT: bayern will play wolfsburg in a couple of hours in the german cup semis. it should be an easy win, though maybe not, who knows, but i'm more interested in who plays and how with a view to next week that anything else that could come out of this match.

demonrail666 04.16.2013 12:19 PM

Haha. I was only joking.

Anyway, mein freund, this article just came out today which you might find interesting.

Gotta love the guardian's football pieces.

BTW, I dunno why I forgot to mention this but seeing as we're talking about Barca being a one man team; check out the new fourfourtwo magazine. There's a great piece about one man teams and how they're actually not that bad a thing. It's mainly focused on the whole Bale situation but mentions Messi etc.

In my opinion, I disagree that it's not that bad of a thing. The team is always on a knife edge. If their main talisman becomes injured for a few months, then they've gotta try and do a turn around and rapid at that.

maradonna won a world cup as one man team.

this is kind of hilarious but gomez just scored 3 goals in the 10 or so minutes that he's been in. current score is 6-1. :D

--

ps- shaqiri played and excellent game, and turns out gomez did it in 6 minutes.

h8kurdt 04.16.2013 03:51 PM

What a crap match. Both Everton and Arsenal were seriously lacking in that game.

!@#$%! 04.16.2013 05:12 PM

here enjoy a nice spectacle (to make up for it)

(ok that was too easy a win but eh)

demonrail666 04.17.2013 04:13 PM

They need to be stopped. Maybe Pep's a bit of an anarchist genius and only took the job so he could sabotage them.

Anyway

West Ham 2-2 Man U

Epic from West Ham, especially Carroll. Good enough to win but I'd have taken the draw before the game so I can't complain too much. (Van Persie was off side for the equaliser, though)

demonrail666 04.19.2013 04:32 PM

Shortlist for the PFA Player of the year just in

Van Persie
Suarez
Bale
Mata
Carrick
Hazard

I can't see it happening but I'd love it to go to Carrick. And no defenders nominated. Would've thought Baines deserved to make the shortlist, at least over Hazard.

what they need is better competitors so that the whole league is more balanced. maybe it's just this year that they got so dominant. dortmund might get like that if they manage to beef up their bench and their best players aren't poached by deep pockets abroad (as with kakawa). btw bayern/dortmund is may 3. nothing there for bayern except for pride, but mark the date in case you're interested.

anyway, speaking of all that, bayern just beat hanover 6-1 ha ha ha. it's a bit much, it's too easy, it removes practically all tension (my only worry was that players might get hurt for next week).

anyway, more awesomeness from hummels here:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kW2Uva1-uXk

must. keep.

demonrail666 04.20.2013 03:17 PM

Many more results like that and I can see Bayern leading the call for establishing some kind of European Superleague. Meanwhile, I'm busy praying to the Holy Trinity for some divine intervention.

must.stop.bayern.

Watch for clips of Suarez literally biting Ivanovich, today. It's the second time he's done it, not to Ivanovich, admittedly. Either way, massive FA ban on the cards, surely. What Liverpool will do about though, is another thing. Print up some tee shirts, maybe?

haaa haaaa i watched that game, it was insanely dominated by suarez-- from his part on the first liverpool goal, to his stupid handball (in all honesty is was heading straight into torrez's head so he probably though one risk outweighted the other, the little bastard), to his enormous chompers, to his final goal. he's a one-man band, and entertaining as hell!

i'm waiting for teh pictures.

that just made my morning! thank you!!!

demonrail666 04.21.2013 02:55 PM

Suarez has now admitted to it and apologised to Ivanovic via Twitter. The man's in serious trouble.
