Very busy - I'm in the middle of moving out of my flat. Today was spent putting big stuff in storage and packing small stuff up. My stereo is in storage, my vinyl too, and 90% of my CDs. I may end up going insane.

We went to the Hoylake lifeboat station open day (air displays etc) and I recieved a lovely present from a friend. Tonight we drank lots of cider and watched Time Team and Rising Damp, so it was a good day all round. Good luck with the move.

Really? It was the Red Arrows, the YAkovlev display team and a Sea King helicopter. They're there every year, in fact, and the ladies of the RNLI (sorry to sound sexist, but it is the ladies) make excellent cake and sandwiches. There was a couple of vintage buses too, which is what gets me excited.

I used to be fascinated by aeroplanes when I was little. Any time an air display was on I'd be pestering my dad to take me. The best were at Greenham Common in Silver Jubilee year (before it became a nuclear base) and Farnborough on a trade day.
