whats the problem?
just use the import function for putting your mp3 or whatever audio source in it...audacity is pretty liberal I think. just dont ever use the open function except for audacity project data (which I should have used so that the crashes could fuck off)

you can't import apple drm crap, remove the drm protection and you will be fine.
