If you're going to smoke non-filter which I highly recommend (too many added chemicals in the filters) then go for Camels the best tasting non'filter cigs out there. I've tried them all except for euros...

Love the name. Where's it brewed?

terriblecanyons 09.18.2009 03:06 PM

Colorado. It's pretty tasty.

There's only two people in the whole world I'd love to have a beer with. Homer Simpson and "Norm" from Cheers. :D

Keeping It Simple 09.18.2009 03:28 PM

Oh yeah, and Kim Gordon, naturally.

The brewery is New Belgium out of Fort Collins. They do an adequate job of mostly Belgian-style beers, though to me they tend to feel a little watered down. Funny thing, many people in Colorado HATE New Belgium, especially Fat Tire, but it seems to be wildly popular other places. It practically flies off the shelves here in A'ville.

Me, I neither like nor hate. It's better than the big mass brews. Just not as complex as other American micros.

Keeping It Simple 09.18.2009 03:57 PM

Can someone tell me what Kim Gordon's favourite tipple is, just in case?

I would never spend that amount on a bottle of beer no matter how good it tastes.

gmku 09.18.2009 05:44 PM

For what it's worth it's a 22 ouncer. And it is most excellent.

You're obviously not a beer snob.

Only 6.7 ABV but the best thing about it is that it's wet-hopped with hops grown on the SN estate. So the hops are powerful, very oily and grassy smelling, and quite tasty. So it tastes stronger than it really is. Makes it very drinkable.

that still equals to ALMOST 5 bucks a beer (considering if they were 12 ouncers).

maybe im more of a cheap beer connoisseur. haha

When you're feeling flush some time, try a bottle. I guarantee you'll love it. Nice malt backbone, overwhelming hops. And at 6.7 ABV won't put you on the floor.

davenotdead 09.20.2009 12:22 AM

now...

what did i buy today?

ciggies/tuna/boiled peanuts/1 diet coke (which is insanely rare...i almost never drink soda).

Ah, good old PBR that's all I crack open too, along with an occasional Black Label. It's what reminds me of the seldom house-party noise shows back in Ottawa, and it was all they would sell. And the taste attracts me more than the great price. It's $11.00 CAD for a 12-pack of PBR in the deppaneur (corner store) below my flat.

pbradley 09.20.2009 03:05 AM

While I was in Saint Louis, my brother, his friend, and I were at a bar and this PBR rep came in and was absolutely fanatical about PBR. Of course I joined in with the PBR love (though I'm generally apathetic about it) because of how excited he was to find a like mind. That was definitely a good time.
