I can do eggs, I suppose. Good call.

Irrelevance? I'd just like to say that I feel that this board needs more Banana Splits:

For all my christian brothers...

Sonic Youth 37 08.10.2008 08:11 PM

Should I go see Deerhunter and Times New Viking? only slightly familiar with both. $15

Also, TV on The Radio/The Dirtbombs for like $25? The main drawback is that it's a seated show and I'd be 4-7 rows back and I hate seated shows.

terriblecanyons 08.10.2008 10:49 PM

WHY IS MY SLEEPING SCHEDULE SO FUCKED UP AHHHHHHHHHHHHH

I'm so tired of waking up at around midnight.

Sonic Youth 37 08.10.2008 10:57 PM

What can't people just let fucking shit die? Fuck people that bring up shit after close to two years after numerous apologies from both sides.

terriblecanyons 08.10.2008 11:02 PM

Because people are douchebags, that's why.

Sonic Youth 37 08.10.2008 11:03 PM

You're fucking right. I swear, I'm one of like 3 people I know that can just let shit die. If I say I'll never mention something again, I'll never mention it again.

terriblecanyons 08.10.2008 11:05 PM

Does mentioning the fact that you'll never mention it again count?

Sonic Youth 37 08.10.2008 11:09 PM

(subject of arguement (SoA))

Me: I'm sorry for SoA
Them: I'm sorry,too.
Me: I'll never mention it again
Them: Neither will I

2 days to 8 months later
Them: Remember SoA?
Me: Why'd you have to bring that up?
Them: Some wounds never heal
Me: That shit's fucked up.

You can't say "I promised to never mention it again" out of the blue or remind people that you can't mention it. I usually take the route of getting really fucking angry at the one who brought it up.

terriblecanyons 08.10.2008 11:15 PM

Yeah, I hate it when people do that. Insensitive bastards. Especially when it's something like, how your cat died or something. Douchebags.

Sonic Youth 37 08.10.2008 11:18 PM

People who tell others something that you told them, and only them, in complete confidence piss me off almost as much.

Vault that shit.

Seriously, I need new friends, 2 years later, 200 miles away, and separate colleges and fuckers still tripping on high school shit.

terriblecanyons 08.10.2008 11:20 PM

YEAH! Especially when in front of other people. It's like... dude. No. DUDE. NO! I'M RIGHT HERE, AT LEAST SAY IT WHEN I'M NOT AROUND SO YOU DON'T GET THE SHIT BEAT OUT OF YOU!

I think my overuse of the capslock key proves that I take this subject way too seriously.

People who still are in their High School days need to get out of that shit.

acousticrock87 08.10.2008 11:23 PM

As much as it irks you, it's far better to leave them seething in their own shit than to allow them to pile it onto you. The key to staying out of old arguements: Don't give a flying fuck, no matter what the consequence. Just smile and shrug. You're clean. Let them hate you for it if they're so keen on letting it come to that.

If you choose not to let it bother you, you'll be a happy person regardless of what they want to bring up. Their loss.

That's my avenue for 99% of subjects. There's maybe 2 or 3 that you just don't touch. No matter what. No matter whether or not you're my best friend, girlfriend, or a stranger off the street that knows what buttons to push.

✌➬ 08.10.2008 11:29 PM

Just ignore it, move on.

Sonic Youth 37 08.10.2008 11:31 PM

Yeah, fuck it. Time for some musical time-travel.

acousticrock87 08.10.2008 11:34 PM

There are always a few topics where ignoring is much easier said than done, but when it comes down to it it's eventually the only option.

Musical time-travel certainly helps, though.

✌➬ 08.10.2008 11:34 PM

I am going to listen to my old Korn cds.

Sonic Youth 37 08.10.2008 11:36 PM

That doesn't sound like fun.

Musical time-travel, when done properly and with a bit of caution (don't want to push it too far or you get caught up) can be one of the most therapeutic things, for me at least.

✌➬ 08.10.2008 11:39 PM

I do that sometimes. But not much.

acousticrock87 08.10.2008 11:39 PM

I agree. There are a few CDs I have absolutely reserved for such purposes.

✌➬ 08.10.2008 11:49 PM

Yeah, let me reminisce about my drunk attitude last night.

I think I just encountered a panic attack.
I need to seek a professional advice, I guess.

cryptowonderdruginvogue 08.11.2008 03:33 AM

For some unknown reason, I somehow managed to get back into the whole Minimalistic Techno sound (specifically Richie Hawtin, Jeff Mills, UMEK, Sven Vath, etc.)

HECKLER SPRAY 08.11.2008 03:38 AM

Maybe 'cause it's your birthday, Crypto.

That's totally photoshopped. The shadows are way off.

taste the whip, now bleed for me

acousticrock87 08.11.2008 04:44 AM

I just found out what "velvet underground" actually meant. Like last week. I felt like an idiot. But it all makes sense, now.

Cantankerous 08.11.2008 05:00 AM

lou reed took the name off a book cover. it doesn't mean anything.

acousticrock87 08.11.2008 05:02 AM

Yeah, but the book's title describe's the movement it's about.

Cantankerous 08.11.2008 05:05 AM

what movement? movement of what?

by the way can someone please tell me what fucking time signature venus in furs is in because i don't know how to figure that stuff out.

MellySingsDoom 08.11.2008 05:11 AM

Cantanky - I've just "sung"/tapped out the riff to "Venus....", and I think it's in 5/8 - not exactly easy, that one....

Man, my hangover's not getting any better. Ugh...ah, the radio's playing "Shaft" right now. Gawd bless ya Isaac Hayes:

acousticrock87 08.11.2008 05:12 AM

The organization of the subculture of sexual domination/submission. I swear there's a whole paragraph about it in my textbook, and it doesn't even capitalize it or mention the book.

Pretty sure it's in 2/4. Maybe 4/4, but feels like 2. There's like one extended beat at the end of each "line". I wouldn't analyze the signature so much, and just take the beat out separately.
