Chillin' in my back to shield myself from the rain, I noticed my nieces purse outside and figure I should take it back inside. So yeh, I walk in with a purse, introduced myself and unknowingly walk up to my room with it in my hand. Then she leaves. Yeh.

If you really are concerned that somone may or may not consider you gay for simply holding "a purse", then you've got problems!
