You know, those little ones that go 'ding!' and make other cute sounds totally inaudible in actual traffic. I find angry yelling works best. |

As much as I hate bells, I did just order two (well, one's a horn) for my bike shop that I'm excited about: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002BW3OSA http://www.beachbikeoutlet.com/Hambu.../prod-174.html |

Definitely save money. Besides, you won't miss much in the winter. Brooklyn is its best in the summer and fall. |

How so? |
i just love new york in the winter. so much.
brooklyn is where me and my friends play in the street. |
i like brooklyn the best in the summer. nyc winters are really painful. too windy. it hurts my skin and bones.
|
Ah, I was never a big winter person. Although part of that is probably due to a lifetime of being underdressed. No joke, I didn't have a real jacket until last year. Went most years without a hat or gloves. All I ever own is holey Converse, so when it snows my feet get soaked. I actually went a winter at the age of 15 with nothing but a windbreaker. I'm an asshole.
I also promised myself I'd have proper winter biking gear this year (like, real gloves instead of the $1 work gloves you get at bodegas that are dipped in red latex on one side), a hat, and a face mask. Also maybe warm shoes. |
face masks really do help keep ya warm. plus, they look badass.
|
i have so many facemasks, and i live in south georgia

I'm thinking of getting one of those full-on pull-over ones that covers my head too. A year or so ago I borrowed a Puerto Rican flag bandana from a friend to protect my face with while biking home. Since I was completely bundled up, everyone thought I was Puerto Rican. And they were way friendlier with me. |

We're talking wintertime ones, not sexy-time ones made of the faces of actual women. |
Haha, where the hell in Brooklyn are yah if you don't mind me asking?
|
Sunset Park. Grew up in the Kensington area. Well, at the border. I was technically in Windsor Terrace on 20th St. parallel to McDonald Avenue., a block away from the cemetery. I'm a block away from the cemetery now too, just from the south this time.
