Damn. I definitely need to check these out. I feel so out of the loop. |
joe, my slsk is godisalive
If you're wondering about the lame name, it was just some random shit I typed in. |
Haha, I thought that might have been you! I just cancelled my Rhapsody account, and am starting to d/l mp3's again. I'm Merzbong666, if you didn't already know. Currently downloading Blank Dogs, and the Mega Man sndtracks from you.

cool, get as much as you want!!

My username is DerekMcA. Isn't that rad?

i got this through the post yesterday
![]() after giving it a few listens i'll conclude that it is indeed a decent record, however in some ways it is still a bit of a disappointment for me as i know mark can do so much better based on previous releases (amethyst waves, guitar meditations, a pocket full of rain, dream team...). having said that, brain storm (for erin), clear the cobwebs, and brothers (for matt) are a few of the best jams he's had. some other records i have enjoyed recently, laetitia sadier - the trip hype williams - untitled alastair galbraith - mass julian lynch - mare |
New Blank Dogs is pretty cool so far. The guitarwork reminds me a lot of Robert Smith's, especially on tracks like Longlights, and Northern Islands or Another Language. Which is a definite plus in my book.

Very much so, thanks for the lovesliescrushing! I'll be mooching off you a lot, actually, seeing as you have such a broad selection. Thanks to Rhapsody, I only have a handful of cd's that I've actually held onto. So I'm still in the process of building my essential core artists/albums. You should snag Natas' Doubelievengod off of me. It's the freshest fucking hip-hop album of all-time, and hardly anybody has even heard of it! East Side Hoes and Money the Unholy, Mastamind, and TNT fucking destroy on every track. It's one of the few albums that I can honestly say is perfect from start to finish. Dat Detroit wicket shit. While you're at it, why not check out the new Esham? It certainly is an outstanding release of 2010. The production is INSANE. |
I downloaded the Odd Future related album by Earl Sweatshirt yesterday since Earl Of Slander keeps hyping that shit up. But once it was dl'd (from their official site) it left me with an empty folder. Maybe it's a joke?

new squarepusher album is great, of course..
|
Another great album....
Messenger Girls Trio: Excelsior Salon Sir Richard Bishop is in this band... and they're awesome. Guitar heaven. |
Man this year seems slow compared to the last few. I don't think anything has come out that I really love.
|
Has anyone heard the new The Dead C album yet?
Funeral Mariachi by Sun City Girls, I can't stop listening to it. It's so good. One of the best albums of the year, without a doubt. |
In hip hop related albums, ''Black Sabbath''by Blacastan is a complete burner of a record. Nice gritty boom bap beats with precise flow and throwback storytelling. For fans of quality hip hop, don't sleep.

the Iridion II sndtrk got a digital re-release this year. It was originally available as a German import only in 2003. Very very very hard to find a physical copy.

keep meaning to pick up the new one |
okay, so, neil young - le noise is amazing... I'm not a huge Neil Young fan (having said that, I like quite a bit of his work -- just don't find myself listening to much aside from RUST...). But this album rules.
|
the new Trumans Water kicks gigantic ass.
|
of course! They don't make music like that anymore!
