Also Made For Love on HBO Max is surprisingly good given how boring it sounds based on the name. Give it a shot. Has that lady from Palm Springs, also Ray Romano. Good stuff.

It’s, like, at or near the level of Sopranos, Breaking Bad, maybe even Mad Men. Personally I prefer it to those. Takes a few episodes to get really invested, but I can’t really express how goddamn great it is. And it’s great straight through, all the way until the finale, which is not disappointing.

Best American thriller series I can really think of.

Please watch.

I shall!

So....is it good? I hear great things about it, and it seems to have flown under the radar for most of its 6 seasons.

fuck, handmaid's tale is way up the with all the best of the best of tv... it's not just macho boys walter white and tony soprano and don draper crowning the heights anymore. peggy olson i mean june osborn lol... blowing them all out of the water with a different kind of tale. im thick into season 2 and i think this deserves a standing ovation. a more meaningful show than the others in fact.

I totally agree. Each season has been totally chilling and critically important.
I feel like most of the world thinks it has lost steam, but I don’t. I think it improves upon the book and makes the threat of that world seem very real and very possible.

I’m hoping there’s at least one more season to accommodate Margaret Atwood’s sequel, “The Testaments,” which would fit quite seamlessly into the expanded world of the show.

Great, infuriating stuff

EDIT: Oh shit I just realized season 4 is coming out in just a couple weeks?!!

I haven’t seen S4 because it’s not out yet but I won’t spoil.

Glad you dig.
It seems a lot of people seem to think the show has fallen off since the first season. I think the EXACT opposite. Season 1 was brilliant, and superior to the book, but season 2 made me break down several times, and 3 kept it up.

I really think it’s one of the best and most important television shows of this or any era

season 3 blew them out of the water.

my wife cried. i wept like a jesus. my head exploded.

This is a clip I like to watch every once in a while:

Eddy Wally Guantanamo Bay - Waterboarding - E Pad / ipad

Eddy Wally was a Belgian schlager singer, and a bit weird in his articulation of English/American words :D
These clips are from a game show called 'the smartest human', one of the most popular quizzes in both Belgium and Netherlands

Copy pasta my next post into this one so that I can delete one post to recover the thread....?

One of my favourite TV programmes still remains QI on the BBC. Even in the reruns of two years ago that are currently broadcast. The fun fact I learned from the episode I just watched, titled Night:

Humans do have the hibernation genes, but they are dormant.

Jeez I picked a bad time to come back to this board it's all fucked up.

Rewatching The Gilmore Girls.

i have a hypothesis that hibernating tendencies are what we mistankenly call "winter depression"
