definately go for the ds.
its absolutely my favourite platform of the actual generation!
and the standard (lite) is the best version imo. you can actually play GBA games with it which enhances the library for a 1000 games and there are really some of the best games ever made on it.
also the bigger screens of the XL let some games look pixelated!

I always think it best to get into a console a bit later in its life. This is the perfect time to get a DS. My advice: get a phat or Lite since you can still play GBA games on it too. There's a shit ton of GBA and DS games to be had used for super cheap now. AND there's still new DS games being released steadily.

Not that late considering they're planning to keep them around for like another 4 or 5 years.

I couldn't help but notice that the high street video game retailer, Game, isn't selling pre-owned PS2 games anymore. It's a bugger.

I don't know, I don't think there are enough games to convince me to keep it. Plus it doesn't play Advance games which pisses me off.

The only game I really want to play other than ones with stupid mini games is New Super Mario Bros.

I've looked at a ton of DS game reviews and there isn't a whole lot that sticks out to me. It was kind of an impulse buy. Do any of you DS players have any must play suggestions for it??
