I tend to change my answer based on mood, but generally I refer to 6 as my favorite.

I've avoided my television set for at least a week now. I only ever need to be around it when I'm visiting that room to harass and lick boyshape until I'm told to go away :D

I plan on seeing public enemies this week though.. hmmm...

I watched "Into the Wild" for the second time the other day, great movie with Emile Hirsch doing the best performance of his carreer and classic directing by Sean Penn. In my top 25 of all time.

I liked that movie. But I liked Kristen Stewart's undies the best.

I'm not gonna give this a rating. I would hate to trivialize it so.
The horror movie to end all fucking horror movies.

I LOVE the fact that I was repped for this statement. See? Honesty pays.

you really should, just enough to get hooked so you can start wearing dark sunglasses around the house and talking really slowly to people on the phone. You can then spend the rest of the day eating ice cream while sitting curled up on the couch, trying to work out the chords to 'moonlight mile' on a five string acoustic guitar. it's the perfect life really.

hmm. That sounds like something that happened to me, although there was no heroin involved. It was back when me and my mom and younger brother moved to California with my grandpa. I took my little brother to the boardwalk and he was checking out comic books, but I was checking out this girl. Next thing I know, her boyfriend and his goons come out of nowhere and want to race me. Now bare in mind that they had really nice, fast motorcycles and I had a pretty cheap bike. But I kept up pretty good. We hung out. Ate some Chinese food. They pulled this hilarious maggots/rice trick on me. Then we drank some blood-red wine or something. I don't remember much after that about the evening. But like you said, I wore sunglasses around the house a lot.

Loved the idea, the execution was just ok.

ive only seen her documentary on voodoo in haiti which was excellent

atsonicpark 08.07.2009 12:28 AM

Well, she only has 7 films, and they're probably on youtube or ubuweb if you want to see em, they're all really short and about 5 of them are silent. The one you NEED to see is meshes of the afternoon, which to me ranks up there with UN CHIEN ANDALOU as one of the best early surreal/experimental films. Also, the soundtrack is amazing.

a local theater is playing a different western every weekend. next is 'for a few dollars more'. was cool to watch it on a big screen.

sounds absolutely fucking awesome. is it acceptable to do this without the heroin part? shit's expensive and/or deadly.

Conrad 08.07.2009 01:26 AM

Some movie on TV about a guy who was addicted to heroine.

It was pretty bad, but watchable because I was in the mood for a shit movie.

Watching the guy die at the end was the more satisfying part, but then they did this whole montage thing of his shit life and it was all boo hoo and it made me sick.

atsonicpark 08.07.2009 07:13 AM

You should watch story of a junkie.

atsonicpark 08.07.2009 07:14 AM

Actually, the best drug movie I've seen is this movie about meth called MOST HIGH. Which is a cheesy title but it ended up being an awesome movie. There are a few clichés here or there, but the director/main star lost like 100 lbs for the role and grew his hair out and looked like a piece of shit. Really dramatic, and almost no one knows about it, but the last 20 minutes or so made me want to cry. Anyway wanting to see a good movie about addiction (besides, um, The Addiction -- which is, like, a vampire movie that is an "allegory" for drugs), check it out.

I haven't seen The Breakfast Club in a long time, and since John Hughes died, I watched it today just to remember how great it was, maybe my favorite movie by him.
