Gilles Peterson presents the first in his 2009 series of Worldwide 10 events to celebrate 10 years of his groundbreaking Radio 1 show. Q-Tip is the man who first came to public attention with the seminal Tribe Called Quest and has since released 3 solo albums and worked with J-Dilla, Erykah Badu, the Chemical Brothers and even Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston. This is his first UK live show for 10 years and is hot on the heels of the release of his new album ‘The Renaissance’, widely reckoned to be his best solo album yet. Gilles invited him to play at the first of his WW10 events as a result of Q-Tip winning the Single of the Year at the recent Worldwide Awards.

All Tomorrow’s Parties are extremely excited to present an exclusive show from THE JESUS LIZARD at London’s Kentish Town Forum on Monday 11th May.

This show will follow their appearance at the ATP: Fans Strike Back festival on May 8-10th at Butlin’s, Minehead (on sale now through atpfestival.com). The band’s shows at Minehead and London will be their only UK performances and are most likely to be the only time the re-united Lizard will ever perform in the UK.

The original line-up of David Yow, Duane Denison, David Wm. Sims and Mac McNeilly are taking part in this very limited reformation that begins with Minehead and London, and will end with a final appearance in Chicago in late November. These shows will be the Jesus Lizard’s first since disbanding in 1999 and the first in twelve years to feature the original storied quartet. As anyone who has experienced the Jesus Lizard live can attest, they are one of the most intense and visceral musical assemblies to ever stalk a stage.
