I haven't laughed that hard in a long time.

Jack Frost... the one with um... what's her name? From American Pie? Carrot-rape scene? That movie's hilarious.

How could the parents see the kid putting antifreeze in his dad's oatmeal and NOT think he was retarded?

It's an awful film, but what MST3K does is make commentary throughout the entire thing which is AWESOME and hilarious.

I've taken the last two days off (just because).

I saw District 9 on tuesday, and GI Joe yesterday.

despite District 9 being rated-r and GI Joe being pg-13, I'd say that GI Joe was a hell of a lot more violent. because, you know, the Fuck word is a lot worse for young minds than, say, decapitated bodies.

yeah I'm familiar with MST3K. The title Jack Frost has been used for many a film. The one I mentioned, being my favorite.

yeah...I knew that but I just didn't like where it went. I mean the animation n stuff was pretty coo but....the rest like the story was whack. imo

yeah, it was kinda whack.

than again, it was a love story between 5-year-olds. thats pretty weird.

I find miyazaki a bit overrated.

I don't think that he's much overrated. I think people have too high expectations even for movies that he does just "for fun" that are quite obviously not meant as masterpieces from the very early stages of development.
Does this make sense?
I mean, I think his good movies are reaaaally good, I don't care if there's some sloppy releases here and there, the "target" of the Studio Ghibli productions is quite specific from time to time..
Glad to hear Basterds is cool, I think I'll just go ahead and snatch some rip to watch it without dubbing...

Pretty much nails it, except for Princess Mononoke. I loved that movie and in my opinion it deserves all of the praise it received. Kind of liked Spirited Away too but it was far too overhyped.
