if a university near you has a dental school you can be seen/treated for very cheap or even free by students with thorough faculty supervision. do not even reply to this and just go now.

!@#- yeah, they do, made an appt... the daughter a secretary from my high school is a dentistry student and scored me an appt next week and free xrays. SCORE

While my wife was getting her teeth cleaned today, I made my appointment to be seen tomorrow. We're in the process of moving to a new dentist office, so tomorrow will be my first time with them.

We're moving because our old tried and true dentist still accepted our insurance, but our insurance was never enough to cover it all. At first it was just $6 here and there for something like a simple cleaning (that's suppose to be covered 100%). SOOOOOO......found a new dentist and today my wife plaid ZERO!

Most dentists either suck or are crooks or both. Be careful now, teeth are more or less forever.

i need so much work, too. i'd love to hopefully pay zero but i know i need at least a root canal.

I can understand a trip to the dentist sucking, I just never knew one who was a crook......unless you're referring to the amount they charge?

I pay dearly every payday for my family to be on the "high" dental plan. A perk of the "high plan" is twice yearly free cleanings and free x-rays once per year. The reason we switched dentist is due to our old dentist no longer being in network......headed to my appointment in an hour.

Maybe its an LA thing? Soooo many dentists are crooks here, doing unnecessary procedures for insurance money, charging insurance companies mystery rates, doing shoddy work which brings people back and back and back.. a lot of complaints from generally a lot of people.

Well that was quick and easy enough. I love the new dentist office. They have one of those standup panoramic x-ray machines and use Hydro blast to clean your teeth, not one of those metal scrapers.

And all of my years going to the dentist, I'm never once had narcotics.

Last but not least, Hall & Oats, Supertramp, and 10CC were all heard on the overhead speaker system.

Got back from lunch and an envelope containg an Offer Letter for th new job was at my desk. Shyeah SHYEAH! BRRRAP BRRRAP!
