it's not fair to choose between s&S and crcr... both are just too good and show both sides of the band in the best way... esp since crcr it actually gelled them as a band and less a recording project type o deal.

Crooked Rain is the favourite...but Terror Twilight is wayy underrated

top 3 Pavement lps

Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain reigns but
Wowee Zowee is a close second
Brighten the Corners is the underrated one

Only Pavement I still own is Westing by Musket and Sextant, and yes I like it.

Crooked Rain Crooked Rain is my favorite...

'Wowee Zowee' is my preference.

CRCR has always been my overall favorite, but they are all outstanding albums! Each has its own unique sound and feel. Pavement will definitely always be one of my favorite bands. Too bad they broke up before I could see them and Malkmus went on to his mediocre solo career...

It ain't easy, but my ranking goes thusly:
1. Crooked Rain
2. Wowee Zowee
3. Terror Twilight
4. Slanted
5. Brighten the Corners

Crooked Rain IS aperfect album, but "Carrot Rope" is a perfect song

I voted S&E but Crooked Rain is a real close second in my opinion.
