I have a tip for you. Look at the person's NOSE. To them it looks exactly like eye contact.

I did that once for a fake job interview in school and I was congratulated on my eye contact.

Danny is right, the only drawback is that if you do that too often you get strabism.

well eye contact is less awkward than sitting in front of a man who can't look at your face, let alone your eyes..

It's definitely hard for me as well.
When I'm looking at someone far away, my eyes tend to wander even though I'm concentrating on the person. So I'm always self concious that people are weirded out by what my eyes are doing.

i have trouble with eye contact. I'm getting a lot better though.
