Come on! You dont know what kind of person youd become if you had a lot of power. You know the old saying, "power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely." What makes you think you'd be impervious to corrupting forces? I'm not impervious--- and that's the truth. But okay, for the sake of society I accept the lie that you'd be the sweetest most benevolent purehearted and just and wise tyrant. I dont believe it, but i accept it.

anyway, becoming "the best we can be" does not usually come with power and fortune-- traditionally at least, it's renouncing the world and the self that "purifies" the spirit. big egos can do big things, but also have big issues. christians will see those issues as a highway to hell, nietzscheans will see them as the price of greatness. me, i'm a bit agnostic and full of questions.

but think about it. if you get 100 million dollars today, your porn collection might suddenly start to include real people, and nobody is going to be able to stop that. all it takes is an itch that you can scratch, plus a boundless supplier of scratches, and two years from now you might be an unrecognizable degenerate.
