just seen new thing. cool video. musically? 2:02 to 2:12 min. into the video..wow.
what do you think of it? I found it very poppy actually. |
I don't find it too good, to be honest. Somehow I have expected a lot more of Lee's solo output since SY broke up, but he still puts out stuff that's just moderately interesting. But maybe just my ears are wrong.

true...very melodic...but those guitar need more "thurstonitis" on it. |
them 10 seconds passage of denuted dissonant guitar sound in new thing (2:02 to 2:12) is what I am missing a lot. but I do undertsand, appreciate and like progression of Lee as a musician. he became well aged and proper songwriter. I would also like to have him releasing more of experimental/impro sounds together with his "proper" records. it has been some time since he released more of a experimental collab. recording.

Nice piece, really excited to hear this album! The postman should be knockin' in about 8 hours... |
just listened ...love it
|
...listening again...i do wish it rocked more.....

On my second listen now, it actually exceeded my expectations in terms of the production vibe I was hoping for. When that beat switched in "Let's Start Again", aw yeahhhh...
It's really cool to see how far some of the songs have been stretched from their various existing live arrangements. All the extra processing really enhances the songs. Too early for a "review" but that's my impression, really happy for Lee that it's finally out and looking forward to the tour! |
