pitchfork is stupid, the album is great.

I heard this yesterday. I was in a car. I was being transported, and I had beer all over me from a particularly whippy corner. In spite of this, I enjoyed the album, and give it 2 furlongs and 12 livestock.

I´ve heard some songs of it, they were ok.
Not as annoying as i thought it would be. I won´t buy it, though. |
I picked it up today and really liked it. 'Dull Flame of Desire' is a little TOO long and repetitive though. 'I See Who You Are' and 'Declare Independence' are my favorite upon first listen. I had never heard Antony before this release, and I think his voice will have to grow on me. Right now he's sounding a lot like Nina Simone under water. Pitchfork was right about one thing: this isn't a pop album.

Haven't heard it yet.

It certainly was the DVD from the Vespertine era (the "Live at the Royal Opera" one) |

I still find it abit odd that Corsano and Chippendale are on this album...
good for them though. And i saw the SNL performance a few weeks ago, and boy was that even more odd to see Corsano on SNL and then at the end credits where they have everyone on stage... he stood in the rear with this bewildered look on his face, while everyone else hugged each other like they all won a million dollars. |
I'm listening to the record and I like it, it may be her best since Homogenic.
