i suggested bands that have been mentioned as emo at one point or another, it's not like there's a sound going on.

anyhoo, i thought dude from daughters burnt out his voice and the rest of the band got tired of playing super fast all the time. still, hell songs kicks the shit out of the horrors.

American Football have some nice tunes, the singer and songwriter (Mike Kinsella) was originally the drummer from Cap'n Jazz.

Yea, anything Mike or Tim Kinsella related , is worth checking out.

oh I LOVE hell songs.

i hated canada songs.

Kids In Glass Houses
When Reason Sleeps
The Guns
The Blackout
Jump The Underground
Emo Girl In Trouble
Funeral For A Friend (Early)

All the above are from South Wales. Living in Cardiff, going to gigs and such the infamous Valleys Post-Hardcore scene is impossible to avoid.

Washing Machine 06.26.2007 09:51 AM

Well I think FFAF's Best album was their second 'Hours'. I'm not a fan, but I dig the odd track. Like I said most of the UK's Post-Hardcore (or emo, but these guys would kill you) is coming from near where I live. When your 18 whether you are into it or not its almost unavoidable. You tend to know people from the bands or people who know people in these bands.

Yeah we're actually to blame for a lot of it. and the areas attributed to a lot of modern emo stuff..

ZEROpumpkins 08.30.2008 11:39 PM

I like how most of the early 90's emo bands broke up after one or two albums. Like they all had severe emotional problems or something.

pbradley 08.31.2008 04:04 AM

Moss Icon and Indian Summer are the only two I've ever cared for.

Derek 08.31.2008 06:19 AM

Off Minor hell yeah.

ZEROpumpkins 08.31.2008 06:49 AM

I'd reccomend:
Sunny Day Real Estate
Cap'n Jazz
At The Drive-In

Additionally, some people consider Weezer and Fugazi as emo music, though I don't really agree with that tag they are awesome nonetheless.

Their guitar riffs constantly got ripped off by Emo bands for awhile though.

ZEROpumpkins 09.02.2008 03:24 AM

uhler, I get the feeling you haven't been around as much as usual. Why is this so?
