Yeah, I must say, I'm with you to a large degree on this one, Everyneurotic. Starbucks is a bit much--increasingly so. As far as coffee shops go, this is the chain that took the 'beat' out of beatnik, and replaced it with 'cheat' or 'defeat'.

They should re-locate to the desert for about a year. Take shit loads of acid and listen only to Thirteenth Floor Elevator albums the whole time they're there. Then record the results directly onto a crappy old D90 cassette.

I wish Thurston would put out another solo album. Psychic Hearts has got to be one of my all time favorites.
