I've never understood how someone could call a band "Too cutesy". The chick in Deerhoof has a beautiful voice, and she uses it quite well. Also, it's not like the songs are loaded with a million rainbow synths or something. Deerhoof are amazing. I can see someone not LOVING them, but they are far too creative and ... well, good ... to be called shit. In my opinion! To some, Melt Banana could be considered "cutesy". Polysics? Definitely cutesy. Swirlies, Pixies = all have "cutesy" vocals. I mean, I know what you're saying and I'm not trying to cause an argument, I just find it weird that you said that.

Not to mention that they don't look great at all. They're all really quite ugly and boring, except Greg Saunier, my god!

I'm with you, deerhoof has A.D.D, they always have ace into's then an annoying 'ickle twee singing then a cool bit then a naff clever 'tight band' bit then some more irritating singing..and so on. they'd be brilliant if they'd just cut out all the rubbish bits and did more of the cool bits, y'know?
