in 1988 i was in eighth grade often listening to George Michael's faith album on tape.

I was in 5th grade, being a little punk rock skater-bater.

I was probably some little bit of protein inside of my father's body somewhere, a good three years off from the actual transition into a tiny little sperm warrior that would eventually become a wonderful fetus sometime in the fall of 1990. I was born 9 months later: the year punk broke.

i was 9 years old, so probably in 4th grade, and only into the oldies station on my clock radio...

I remember 1988 really well. Skateboarding was all of the rage, we even had skateboard day at school. Oh yeah, I first kissed a girl in 1988, I was in grade 5!

I was listening to Poison & Bon Jovi. Then Guns'n'roses came along and I wanted to be Slash.

Anyway, I wasn't even a concept. I was dead, in that I was not alive or even an idea of being alive. My brother was getting born I guess... Did it come out in August? He was plopped out by then, I think he would be in Sick Kids hospital... he had lots of problems as a baby... but that's my bother... not me... I wasn't yet interwoven into the Three Dimensional Universe (FOurth, most definitely, as a long infinite insect-like creature of every action and movement and growth I ever have and will have, my spear of time beginning and ending where it begins and ends.

Probably not. In 1988 there was communism here and getting one of these was the best thing you could have at that time. My dad got it smuggled from Germany, those computers weren't even on stock in Czechoslovakia back then.

wow the 10th, then it was released 3 days before i was born.

I was working in a record shop.

I've said this before, and I'm really not being contrary, I didn't think much of DDN then, and it's still far from being my favourite SY album now.
