But on the other hand, coins ruin whatever they're kept in (pocket or wallet) incredibly quickly, whereas notes do no damage at all.

i hate to have a pocket full of coins, sounds like a rattle.

i favor the abolition of the penny, a useless coin. round it all out to the nearest 20th of a dollar & use nickels.

dollar coins would be nice. 5 dollar coins even.

for the pirate coin, i say get it appraised, check your area for coin collectors, i have no experience in that area, but that seems to be the way to go, escially if it is worth in the mid to high 3 figures

i dunno i had a couple of ones when i was a kid, we used to do that and nothing happened to the coins.
you're supposed to let them alone poured in vinegar for a couple of hours.

you can get $1 coins but they are the size of a dinner plate and weigh as much as a large grapefruit.

thing i like about europe is the history, we are more stylish, sophisticated and more accepting etc. oh and cheese.
