not sure when you'll be here exactly and what music you like, but within the next 10 days or so you could see wolf eyes, sunburned hand of the man, junko (hijokaidan), konono no1, the ex, icp orchestra, liars, vanishing voice... among others. animal collective as well i think, but i don't really care about them so i'm not sure on that. venlo is a bit far away from the action though and unless you have a car, you probably won't be able to get back to venlo after midnight by train. edit: ok, so tuesday-saturday. sorry, mr. marras! please escuse my boisterous behaviour. |

2) My girlfriend's not well. 3) I have a headache. 4) I was hungry - but that problem is now resolved. |

you almost got it right, mate ;) . except 5 is not "pats" but "pat" and Good Morning is not "dobar dan" but "dobry den". Dobar dan is Serbian/Croatian. |
yes, you're right. forgot that one.
but isn't goodmorning "dobre rano" though? i though "den" was day, vecer evening and noce night. |
Quote:
absolutely correct! I put it that way, because there is no such expression as "Good Day" in English. |
There is if you're a vicar.
|
i remember that slovakian and czech had different words for morning.... also remember some curse words of course.
|
like "pica" and "kokot"?
(oooh, nasty, nasty slavo!) |
yes! pica, kokot, but also
kurvah (male whore?) chottopice (goddammit?) i cna say them but i don't know how to spell them, because during the school lessons they didn't teach us swearing so i had to learn them from hear-say. :) |
Quote:
HAHAHA kurva = female whore chod do pice = something like "fuck yourself" but literally it means "go to cunt" I can't believe I'm using that language. For all of you that know me as a gentle young man - yes, I'm really like that ;) . |
funny story about the word Kurva
KURVANA was my usernam for a while on the superman msg board, this guy msgs me saying hey whats up and adds me to msn..he says he added me thinking i was croatian like he is.. i explain to him no im not and that Kurt and Nirvana was the reason for the name..he says "no way" and tells me he is a fan also, then we become good net buddies and started a band |
