I had this yesterday (due to the Polish bartender's recommendation) and was quite surprised how deliciously it tasted:

Much better than the coffee-bean-tasting Guiness, I'd say.

Because I'm young and lame and I've never had real beer that I actually didn't spit out at first sip,

It's funny how beer travels, isn't it? I'm surprised that the Smiths does well, but not surprised at how Guiness doesn't at all. It's the cliche of all beer drinking cliches, but Guiness doesn't taste right outside of Ireland.

Round these parts, Smiths is about the last option of beers for me, short of a decent lager or wheat ale. I'm incredibly lucky that there's quite a big trend for decent beer - although that could well be because I generally drink in old man pubs.

That's good stuff. They make great cream soda, too.

I think I had cream soda once and I thought it was really gross.

gmku 10.24.2007 05:12 PM

girlgun 10.24.2007 05:16 PM

I Love Cream Soda!!!!!!!!

atari 2600 10.24.2007 08:11 PM

i used to drink some a&w & barq's cream soda every now and then years ago
that one posted is probably better, but i've never tried it

rob's gettin superfreaky haha

a name like 'oyster stout' might run me off, glice, but i trust it's good stout
wonder what would provoke them to include 'oyster' in the name

i've seen that budweiser/clamato thing in stores
looks frightening
