Everybody's been burned

Everybody has been burned before; everybody knows the pain
Anyone in this place can tell you to your face
Why you shouldn’t try to love someone
Everybody knows it never works
Everybody knows and me
We know that door shuts just before you get to the dream you see
I know I know all too well, how to turn and how to run
How to hide behind a bitter lie with blue
But you die inside when you choose to hide
So I guess instead I'll love you
I love you
I love you

im waiting on cryptos post about how he is on fire and next level

floatingslowly 10.24.2007 07:48 AM

my little sister lives in canyon country, and the fire burned all the way up to her backyard.

her next door neighbor stood on his roof and hosed down the houses around him. he saved her place for sure.

my mother and father live very near majick mountain, and they have fires on all sides of them. she told me yesterday that her bags are packed and ready to go.

I'm glad my sis is ok, but that's what you get for livin' in babylon.

What will we do if Hollywood burns up? Thank God, at least the season finale of Californication is in the can. I wonder if all of Dexter is ready?

Alex's Trip 10.24.2007 08:01 AM

My house is fine right now. School for some reason didn't get fucking canceled. The school district is on crack, but I ain't got nothing better to do.

I think the fires that were headed down the mountain from the north was put out, but I can't really tell.

gmku 10.24.2007 08:05 AM

I'm conerned about L.A. especially. One, there's Hollywood. Two, all those crazy people--what happens if they get displaced. All the druggies, the gangstas. I don't want them coming to my backyard because a forest fire burned them out of their hoods.

Alex's Trip 10.24.2007 08:11 AM

Word.

I think it won't get too out of hand, though.

fucking scary.

gmku 10.24.2007 08:53 AM

Yes, I think I want to move to an island like the UK. You Brits have a lot of problems, not least of which is your food, but it would be comforting to be surrounded by water.

screamingskull 10.24.2007 10:14 AM

food here isn't that bad, we have lots of indian, chinese, mexican, american, and japanese places you can go to eat at.
here we don't get wild fires but we get shit loads of flooding.

from this summer.

Quote:

Widespread flooding occurred throughout the United Kingdom in June and July 2007, killing 11 people. The flooding affected thousands of businesses, tens of thousands of homes and further affected up to a million people. Estimated damages on 23 July 2007 were over £2 billion.
The most severe flooding occurred across Northern Ireland on 12 June; East Yorkshire and The Midlands on 15 June; Yorkshire, The Midlands, Gloucestershire and Worcestershire on 25 June; and Gloucestershire, Worcestershire, Oxfordshire, Berkshire and South Wales on 20 July.
June was one of the wettest months on record in Britain (see List of weather records). Average rainfall across England was 140 millimetres (5.5 in), more than double the June average. Some areas received a month's worth of precipitation in just 24 hours, and it was Sheffield's wettest month since records began. July had unusually unsettled weather and above-average rainfall through the month, peaking on 20 July as an active frontal system dumped more than 120 mm (4.7 in) of rain in Southern England.
