It says a lot when performers are that nice and absolutely open and relatable. People say Steve is like that. And Lee and, to an extent Thurston, and to maybe a slightly lesser extent, Kim, are all really nice, or so it's been related to me. I like FUGAZI way way way more. Although I only heard the Evens first album.

What I find really odd is that there is this big post-hardcore movement in Western PA and everyone sounds like FUGAZI but nobody listens to FUGAZI. They all seem to think At the Drive In invented this shit.

I'm not sure if I'd consider Fugazi and ATD-I to have a similar sound though.

swa(y) maintains that they are boring. There are far more boring bands IMO. Such as Portishead, Massive Attack, Lemonheads and the Jesus and Mary Chain.
Let me explain myself:
Portishead and Massive Attack - Every song is the same boring beat with some good singing but ultimately is sleep enducing.
Lemonheads - Annoying echoey vocals and stupid songs
JAMC - The band I consider the most overrated ever. Songs full of white noise and drums that sound like they were recorded in some steel grand canyon.

well i like all of those bands so whatever. i don't think fugazi are boring, i just feel a seething hatred toward them and ian mackaye and their politics and their followers.

i like some portishead. never been a fan of massive attack. lemonheads just suck. i have to disagree on the jesus and mary chain. fugazi are better than all those four bands combined though.
