i have them all on my other computer (now my brother's). maybe i should buy them, but i always find something else to buy instead.

krastian 01.31.2008 03:52 PM

Yeah, most of them have been Soulseeked by me too.....I pick them up when I find them used though.

uhler 01.31.2008 04:03 PM

are you going to see joe lally? his solo stuff is pretty good, but i don't know if i want to drive to orlando or gville to see him.

krastian 01.31.2008 04:06 PM

I haven't really thought about.....I still haven't heard "Nothing Is Underrated" yet.

uhler 01.31.2008 04:10 PM

i actually haven't heard it either. i have his first cd. my mom called it the worst thing she have ever heard, but i enjoy it.

what does it look like? i have an old copy of the 7 inch and it just has a picture of them on the back.

my next tattoo is going to be the cover of the rites of spring record.

uhler 01.31.2008 04:24 PM

or are you talking about the hgl cd? if you are the artwork on the back is really awesome.

SpectralJulianIsNotDead 01.31.2008 05:07 PM

Yeah I'm talking about the HGL CD.

anyhoo, rites of spring for me because, frankly, i haven't heard any of the brenguy bands besides rites, fugazi and deadline (which is a stretch, really).

yeah most people here seem like they don't like hardcore either.

Not that HGL aren't aggressive or anything, but there's a pretty big difference to my ears.

Norma J 01.31.2008 09:11 PM

No two things are identical.

that's the first time i heard that. i find them similar only because the noise factor.

I'd say Big Black is probably the closest sounding band to Happy Go Licky. But I wouldn't say they sound alike.

uhler 01.31.2008 10:01 PM

i like how their songs sound different everytime they played them live.

i'm not surprised most people picked fugazi. i would've picked them too if i didn't feel bad for one last wish. one last wish is a great band though. i recommend them to fans of any of those bands that are in the poll.

that's too bad. there's this guy on youtube that put up a lot of fugazi videos that he taped. check them out. he also put up the only one last wish video on youtube and the only rites of spring live videos.
