My weekend was amazing basically. I spent Friday in San Francisco with a bunch of friends from my speech/debate class, and we had a great time. Plus the coach is pretty awesome. He took us to City Lights book store to look around. Then we had a competition at Berkeley which was spectacular. Very hard competition. The campus was great. Hanging with some great people on Telegraph Avenue is definitely the greatest. Then we had ridiculous late night hotel shit that can't be described.

I rediscovered the amazingness of S.F. Sorrow.

Yeah it was so slippery in Ottawa this weekend, we got a lot of rain. I must have slipped 9 times. I stayed in the entire weekend, but had a few people over yesterday, and went out to coffee with a friend visiting from montreal

it was pretty great (just way too expensive), partly because i didn't have time to read this stupid board.

Had a 4 day weekend on account of President's Day but didn't do anything too spectacular until last night. I saw Mi Ami and Food For Animals, one of my favorite shows in a long, long time.

floatingslowly 02.19.2008 09:57 AM

I watched a lot of No Reservations (was a marathon yesterday), some of Freddy vs. Jason and the history of the spork (or something lame like that on the now lame history channel).

so nice, I'd do it twice.

We were invited down to the beach by our daughter and her boyfriend. They had rented a cabin and he (the boyfriend) wanted us there to witness his proposal to our daughter - she said yes :)

There was cool and grey skies, but it was still a fantastic day!

Here is just 50 of the 150lbs of crawfish we boiled.

And the crawfish were good!

Nice Bytor congrats! awesome boil! I went to a friend's son's birthday party at Bear Creek Park and then right after we headed to another friend's place to go feast on crawfish. good stufff

Bytor Peltor 04.07.2014 04:30 PM

^^^good stuff indeed!

It was also our first time meeting his family.

Really nice people and easy to get along with. Our soon to be son-in-law does a lot of fishing, frogging, crabbing and who knows what else???

Anyway, we've already been invited to his parents this weekend for a fish and shrimp fry :)

foreverasskiss 04.07.2014 08:57 PM

it sucked. worked today and now i'm relaxing in my jammies sitting indian style in my computer chair after a tidy bath looking over message boards. life is good i guess.

next up: watching the E! channel and fiddle fucking my guitar.

speaking of good crawfish. imma tell you how to catch good both bream and catfish in a small creek or any shallow water pond.

you get you the smallest hook, bate it with crawfish meat( hope you have traps for these) and toss whatever measure deepest yr fishing. works everytime. fuck night crawlers or creckets because you'll just waste yr time. you might think im crazy but i've been fishing little ponds and creeks for years and a friend of mine taught me this trick.

don't know where you live. texas right? do you have channel catfish there?

crawfish are awesome to eat and not just a Louisiana thing. it's been awhile and forgot how to cook them excellant but, i know you have to boil them live.

i always soak my catfish in salt water for an hour to get the muddy taste out. good tip. btw offtopic.
