part of the whole dianetics spiel is that a person can gain power over people by their body language and speech. it's appealing to rich and famous people because they make them think they can gain power. of course, most of what it promotes are half truths and obviously doesn't work, seeing how many people in the world think tom cruise is a douchebag.
