This album is highly enjoyable yes
|
I always thought it was weird that was never mentioned in those 'influential albums' lists. Nothing sounds like it to me. Its the only hardcore album that i truly love.
|
definitely one of the better 'new' hardcore albums
|
I don't know how it was in other countries, but in Australia the Shape Of... was huge about 2 years ago. They were a band no one knew about, then they became Nirvana. And most are probably still unaware that it was released in 97/98.

most people in my school have heard New Noise and said OMG THIS BAND ARE AWESOME
they probably know them because this new breed of post-hardcore bands cite them as major influences |
I only know like 2 or 3 people who know them in real life.
|
...though EVERYONE's hear new noise whether they wnat to admit it or not.
|
really? over here I gather they're yesterdays news - cool to pass off because they were 'so last year'. that type of thing.
which is a shame. its a great album. |

my friend, well more like "ex friend" whos an idiot/mentally ill/jock, and whom i cant stand (we all have a "friend" like that, right?) who listens to mosty horrible pop rap, and shitty mainstream rock, has new noise on his itunes. he says it gets him "pumped". deauche bag.

I actually met the most stupidest person ever today. He kept saying to me, "COURTNEY KILLED KURT!!!!" and I kept nodding saying "yeah sure..."
he also talked about how Americans are dumb and that George Bush rigged the 2004 election... idiot... |
I got into them in 8th grade in middle school though, so I went through high school and I only knew 2 or 3 kids who knew them.
