Yeah, I saw a poster for them a month or so ago, playing at the Walthamstow Standard I think. A double headliner with Dumpy's Rusty Nuts. You can't argue with a bill like that. |
[quote=blunderbuss]This is a tough one, seeing as I wouldn't consider any of the bands in the original post to be rock.
[quote] thats fair enough. I meant guitar rather than electronic as the British electronic scene is pretty fucking impressive |
saying something is indie rock but not rock doesn't make sense. surely indie
rock is just a sub-genre of rock? |
Yeah, but there's rock and there's RAWK!!!!!!!
More importantly, Demonrail, did you really see a poster advertising a gig for DRN? I saw them in about 1987 - they were brilliant! |

i dont know how, but i forgot these:
crass discharge (those two are in my top 5 brit bands for sure) venom bolt thrower amebix iron maiden motorhead extreme noise terror electro hippies carcass fairport convention these bands are not rock in the slightest, but they do indeed RAWK, and there too good not to be mentioned: whitehouse throbbing gristle coil nihilist spasm band nurse with wound current 93 the halfler trio evan parker derek bailey i really love british music. for some reason, even thier most simple straight ahead rock bands, are somehow interesting, creative, and a little more wild than thier peers (the beatles anyone?). |
we're talking about current bands dude
