I wish "Seasons In The Sun" had been included on one of the CD's, and not just the DVD. I think it's an awesome version. And weird that Kurt played drums.

I'm not being sarcastic. It's my favorite Nirvana song.

I just wanted to say that because it perhaps reflects my tastes in general... so if someone were to read me saying "With the Lights Out sucks", then they'd understand that it comes from the perspective of someone who likes Marigold (which is one of their, um, not-Nirvana-sounding-at-all songs) the best. Or something.

noisereductions 09.05.2008 08:55 AM

Understood.

It is a great song. All the b-sides from that era were pretty great.

diskaholic-anonymous 09.05.2008 09:22 AM

the subject nirvana and kurt is still sensitive to me cause in my teenage days was my favourite band ( with sonic youth) and saw his concert a month before he kill himself, and his death closed the "teen page" of my life...
Anyway my fav. album was and still is "Bleach", the others albums have great songs but that one was the first i bought in vinyl and i still love his "pure noisy sound".

p.s be happy kurt where ever you are.

The best thing to come out of that lame BOX set, it was supposed to have the material from the last studio session but all we got was You Know Yr RIght!

Courtney, we already know that after Kurt's death, you had to loot his tapes and notebooks to get new songs for Hole albums, and we already expect to hear some supposed "Hole" tunes in the vaults of unreleased and not-so-professionally recorded material, and further, we dont care, we might just like to hear some of it though!

What about it? Tupelo released Bleach & the Blew EP in Europe.

Thing about the box set is that there simply can't have been much else available to put on it, aside from that final session or borderline-unlistenable bedroom demos (which would be mana for diehard obsessives, but hardly the type of stuff that would see it flying off shelves). I bought it on release, but think I've only listened to it once or twice. Still nice to have (almost) all the best stuff I had on bootlegs years ago in one place...

no one has started a fuck nirvana thread yet????

bleach was a good, not great album.. it contains moments of sheer magic but thats it!

noisereductions 09.05.2008 01:26 PM

My favorite Nirvana albums are INCESTICIDE and UNPLUGGED

>TNS< 09.05.2008 01:41 PM

yeah, did kurt ever sing without having a wall against his face?

poor mom though.

Bleach still rules.

atsonicpark 09.05.2008 02:21 PM

I like Bleach and Incesticide. Nevermind has some good moments. In Utero has all their best and worst songs on it equally.

Their best album is Muddy Banks...

if you think the bleach is magical, then you must think that In Utero is fucking divine! if not, what the fuck are you thinking?

OK, you asked for it (no you didnt), so I'll rank em:

1. Unplugged
2. Incesticide
3. Nevermind
4. In Utero
5. Muddy Banks
6. Sliver/box
7. Bleach

I should add that though Bleach is at the bottom, I'd still give it like a 6 out of 10. So it's not like I dont like it.

lechaoscestmoi 09.05.2008 03:18 PM

imo

1. unplugged
2. muddy
3. incesticide
4. bleach
5. nevermind
6. in utero

atsonicpark 09.05.2008 03:21 PM

I'm more inclined to agree with the above list, though I don't really see the hype about unplugged. Find it really boring.

greedrex 09.05.2008 03:27 PM

never been a huge fan but they kicked ass nonetheless with very good songs.

1) in utero
2) nevermind
3) bleach
4) muddy
5) incesticide
6) unplugged

✌➬ 09.05.2008 10:12 PM

Since we are making a list now.

In Utero
Bleach
Unplugged
Nevermind
Incesticide
Muddy
