Hyperstation

...jumping on the bandwagon here. Hyperstation. I just think it's sort of a defining moment in SY history. The whole trilogy is fantastic, but Hyperstation is what really cements it into my conscious. But that's just my opinion.

The Wonder.

Does anyone else feel Eliminator Jr doesn't REALLY fit in the trilogy?.... I mean, I fucking love the track, but Wonder and Hyperstation merge so rediculously perfectly that E.Jr just seems shoved on the end there a bit. If I was SY, which sadly I am not, E.Jr would be at the START of the album, and the album would end, cutting short on the words "Daydreaming Days In A Daydream Nation".
I can't quite beleive I'm telling SY how they should have made the GREATEST ALBUM EVER. I am quite the cunt sometimes. But alas, that is my view. |
I agree.
its always kinda the wake up call for the end of the album. and I cant decide if thats good or not. |
Eliminator Jr. is my least favourite part of the album.

^^^I agree to that two, but live its nice

I've always thought the Trilogy was really only 2 songs. "The Wonder/Hyperstation" and "Eliminator Jr." The first part, I can't even think of as separately enough to say one half over the other, it's one damn song dammit! I've always liked the first part more, but it breaks cleanly into the "Eliminator Jr." clean up spree, so I think it's effective and a good way to end. Not as good as ending on "Death Valley '69" on the original LP version of Bad Moon, but still decently strong.
